Military history buffs will be able to enjoy the wonders of the Medieval Mini Museum at this year’s May Fair. Based in the park on Saturday 19th May, the museum will showcase military replicas spanning a 500-year period, from the 11th to the 15th centuries.
Medieval enthusiast Dan Bridgwater will be on hand to demonstrate the weaponry and costumes, and there will even be the chance to get hands-on experience with some of the replicas. From helmets to the mighty war bow, expect to learn some fascinating and little-known facts about warfare in the medieval period.
Dan will also be marching (in full costume, of course) in the morning parade through the village centre, which starts at 11:00 a.m.
