A range of live music and dance acts will be performing on the music stage during the May Fair, with local talents Liam McClair, Gypsy River Band and Jenem leading the way.
Jenem will take to the stage at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday 19th May, mixing acoustic pop with elements of hip hop and jazz. Having performed at the May Fair two years ago she will be a familiar face to many, and she has also played at the O2 Academy Leeds and the Royal Northern College of Music. After her performance, Jenem will be busking outside Waitrose.
Gypsy River Band have an extensive playlist of songs from the 1960s through to present day hits, all performed with a unique boho twist. The vocals of sisters Lauren and Sadie can be enjoyed from 3:00 p.m.
Liam McClair, hailing from Wilmslow, has toured the UK and Germany and has opened for Echo & the Bunnymen five times. His act will get underway at 4.00 p.m.
Further performances will include the Alderley Edge Community Primary School Choir, Handforth dance school Acto de Clase, laid-back jazz from The Beartown Stompers, Highland dancing from the Alderley & District Caledonian Society and street dance from the Sue Morris School of Dance.
